Reiki healing hands

Reiki is based on the belief that everyone has an energy field, or aura, that surrounds the body. When this energy field is blocked or unbalanced, it can lead to physical, emotional, or spiritual problems. Reiki practitioners believe that by channeling healing energy into the body, they can help to unblock and balance the energy field, which can lead to improved health and well-being.

Reiki can be used to treat a variety of conditions, including:

Pain
Stress
Anxiety
Depression
Sleep problems
Chronic illness
Injuries

Reiki can also be used for general relaxation and stress relief.

Reiki is a safe and gentle healing modality that can be used by people of all ages. It is not a substitute for medical treatment, but it can be used in conjunction with other therapies.

How Does Reiki Work?

The exact mechanism by which reiki works is not fully understood, but it is believed to work by:

Balancing the energy field: Reiki practitioners believe that when the energy field is balanced, the body is better able to heal itself.
Reducing stress: Reiki can help to reduce stress, which can have a positive impact on physical and emotional health.
Promoting relaxation: Reiki can help to promote relaxation, which can also have a positive impact on physical and emotional health.

What to Expect During a Reiki Session

A reiki session typically lasts for about an hour. The practitioner will begin by asking you about your health history and your goals for the session. They will then lead you through a relaxation exercise. Once you are relaxed, the practitioner will place their hands on or near your body. They will then channel healing energy into your body. You may feel a tingling sensation or other physical sensations during the session. You may also feel a sense of relaxation or peace.

Is Reiki Safe?

Reiki is a safe and gentle healing modality. There are no known side effects of reiki. However, if you have any concerns, you should talk to your doctor before receiving a reiki session.
